Valley View

It is located in Salvacion, Irosin, Sorsogon. You can see the beautiful view of rice field in irosin, and also the beautiful view of the Bulusan Volcano.

It was surrounded by mango trees that gave fresh air. Every summer lots of tourist visit the place because of its beautiful ambiance.

It is a perfect place for a family bonding. Lots of couple came here for a date and making a romantic moment.

Valley view was first develop by our ex Mayor Lilia Gonzales. She developed the place. And it became a tourist spots in Irosin. It was the first tourist spots in Irosin that everyone loved to visit. It has a video karaoke and store before that is 24 hours open.

In 2008, there’s a tragedy happened that the caretaker of the place was murdered by the three unknown killer. The body of the wife was found behind the door of the store and the body of the husband found in the bed. There head was cut away from their body. The police said that the killer was residence of Batang or San Isidro, Irosin, Sorsogon because they found some drops of blood pointing to San Isidro. 

After that tragedy the place was abandoned. They let the tragedy past before they renovated it.

When Mayor Jun Ong was become a mayor in the present, he started to develop the place again. He change the color of the place and he put more cottages. The place become colorful and refreshing.

Even the place is under construction many people come and visit the place.But it's not 24 hours open even if it is open to the public.

BAGSANGAN CHURCH (The healing church)

San Vicente Ferrer
(the Healer)

 San Vicente ferrer,patron of “Patag Irosin Sorsogon”it was said that an ordinary man found this at the hill of Bulusan, Sorsogon. It was inflicted because it healed some of those residences even on the other brgy. that had been there to help them vanish their ails and sickness. This place was  visited for conducting prayers or also known as “novena’’.

Ruperto Ubalde come to visit the place looking for his cows. Seeing the saint hanging above the stove, he requested the couple (the owner) to give the image to him. They consented and Don Ubalde, a very religous man, initiate the construction of a chapel in front of the present cite today .  

It was build since 1945 when  the Japanese came ,it was started on a nipa hut, where the residence offer their prayers. 

               

Many years have been passed this was constructed by the help  of intended hermana on their place.

It was implemented  by the prominent hermana “vice mayor .Peping Michelana. Where by he assigned to manage this church. 20 years ago when he first started to reconstruct that church,it was continuesly fixed by the next hermana.

                   

   “Dinugo Gonzales;2     years that he had been managed it,now it was been managed  by Aycardo and Buenagua they are the assigned ermano and ermana of their brgy. This was still constructed and they will continued constructing it by the following  persons who can managed it thorougly.

Many devotees come Tuesday and Friday to ask favor and most of the requests are fully granted.

LITTLE BAGUIO

The town of Irosin became a barrio back as 1853. After twenty years, in 1873 it was canonically established as a parish with san Miguel Archangel as its patron saint and Rdo. Padre Mariano of the new parish was fprmely the site of “Baldoza” , now known as Brgy. San Agustin. Three years later, after becoming a parish. In 1880, this barrio became another “pueblo civil” of the province of Albay.The place was originally known as “Hinay” term used to refer the movements of tributary streams and rivers winding down to the lower “pueblos” of Juban and Casiguran. For whatever reasons sometime in 1887 during the term of Rdo. Padre Esteban Rivera, the name was change to “Irosin” connoting erosions which were not uncommon to this land locked “pueblo” at the southernmost part of Ibalon especially when tonential rains in undate the rivers of the place but looks like a volcano crater, added to the facts that this region, Ibalon, has longer rainy season throughout the year.

When Rdo. Carmelo Ubalde became the parish priest in 1890, he transferred the site of the church and “convento” to its present sites, a hilltop overlooking the entire “pueblo”. He must have had an artistic taste and sense of an environmentalist. Then in 1914, another succeeding parish priest made a landmark: the escalera or staircase, with seventy-three steps facing south-eastern portion of pueblo, was constructed.

Little Baguio

Beside the archangel parish church was build what they called Little Baguio. There has 17 step  staircase.
It was build by the first ermano and ermana in Irosin.

Little Baguio was build on the top of the hill in Irosin, Sorsogon. Little Baguio has grotto on the top, it was the grotto of St. Lourdes. Little Baguio was surrounded by beautiful plants and trees that gives fresh air. It is sacred to all people of Irosin.

 And on the top of the Little Baguio you can see the whole Irosin and the Bulusan volcano that captured attraction to everybody.
 


The theme of this place was get from the Lourdes Grotto stairway in Baguio. The difference was the Little Baguio has 17 steps only up to the grotto and the Lourdes staircase has more than hundreds of steps.
In Little Baguio you can also do a candle lighting and offer a prayer.

This place was renovated every year, every change of ermena and ermano of the parish church. When you reach the top of the grotto you can see Lady Lourdes kneeling down beside our Virgin Mary.

CEILO'S GARDEN RESORT

A resort that was managed by, Mrs. Josephina Ceilo owner of this resort.  It is located in Salvacion, Irosin, Sorsogon. February ,18 this year 2014,this was build by her family using their own design. Her son and the wife of her son made the design. They spent almost 4 million on making this resort. 

 Literally it seemed very refreshing, cold and clean that can make your summer vacation perfect. It also concluded 5 feet  for adults, while  3-2 feet for the child. They also have fish ponds where you can feed them on your own.  

 

 The owner said that there’s a lot of people who visit the resort. Some are from Naga City, Bulan and other places. It's not yet popular because it is still under construction but lots of people visited the place.

It is very refreshing because of  the ambiance of the place. The owner and the caretaker was very accommodating.

MATARAIS HILL

WELCOME!!!

Matarais Hill Called matarais Because of its shape. Before, the hill was covered by cogon but it is a perfect place for you to have a peace of mind.            In 1992 the Busy Christian Community go to Magsaysay, Bulan, Sorsogon. They Discovered the hill in Magsaysay is the best place to pray. The hill became a sacred place for the priest. In 1995 the BC community brought the Holy Eucharist on the top of the hill to offer a prayer. Father De is the leader of the BC community, He was the General Vecar   of all priests in Bulan community.

When BC community live the land of Bulan,  JOSE GUBAN continued the work of the priest. He is the caretaker of the hill. He help building the prayer room on the top of the hill.

 He Helping continue the development of the hill and by the help of our ex Mayor Rosa De Castro  she gave financial support for building the prayer room on the top of the hill. Developing the hill is not only for tourist attraction but Mang Jose said that it is for all the people who are religious and have faith in God. And for those people who have faith in God.

The hill measured less than 1.5km from the main village of Magsaysay. Matarais Hill is two separated hill . The first hill is where you can see the prayer room on the top and the second hill where you can see the beautiful view of the rice fields that is planted  in San Juan Road and other villages near.

The hill was surrounded of "Maligno". Maligno is the spirits or a guardian of the forest that we can not seen by our naked eye. Mang Jose told us that there's an incident When a third year high school student was lost after she played around the hill. The girl return after three days but the girl become crazy. 

He also said that if you want to live in the hill you must to survive the 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months of staying on top of the hill.

Calexto Gerona was the first owner of the hill When Jose Ramirez also said that he was the real owner. Until there fight goes to the congress but until now there's no progress about the case.

The real owner of this spot was the Government.
